Southern Oregon Sensory Friendly Films, a program hosted by The Arc Jackson County, is designed to promote community inclusion for children and adults with disabilities in our area by providing a unique opportunity –  the enjoyment of going to the movies in an atmosphere which provides a safe and supportive environment.

Sensory friendly movies are for anyone who has sensory issues or any other disability that makes it difficult to enjoy a movie at the theater. Films play with the lights up a bit and the volume down a bit. There are not any previews or ads, and more importantly, the environment is very friendly and non-judgmental. Moreover, it’s also a great place for individuals and families to network, while allowing everyone to experience a great social outing!

All movies are currently held in as Ashland at:

Varsity Theatre

166 E. Main Street

Ashland, OR 97520

Interested in Sponsorship???

In order to ensure the success of maintaining this important program’s long term operational success, we are seeking contributions to help defray the possible costs associated with each film. All patrons pay for their tickets. Your investment is to provide a buffer in the event that our minimum theater attendance has not been met. This program is driven by volunteers, meaning that 100% of your investment will go directly to assuring films continue to be offered. Generous donors like you are the key to our success, and make it possible for Southern Oregon Sensory Friendly Films to provide local individuals and families with a valuable, and much needed service. Your investment will help us provide wonderful opportunities for individuals and families to experience the joy and excitement of seeing a newly released film up on the “Big Screen” – in a safe and relaxing environment!

Donors will be recognized as a sponsor on our event fliers, as well as on our event Facebook page. All donations are tax deductible.
